Kris Van Assche Exits Dior Homme as Artistic Director
After 11 years with the brand, Dior Homme’s Artistic Director, Kris Van Assche, is stepping down from the company. Before taking on the creative helm at Dior Homme, Van Assche was acting as head of his namesake line. Prior to that, he was designing for Dior Homme from 2000-2004. Before that, he was at Yves Saint Laurent, working under former Dior Homme Artistic Director, Hedi Slimane.
Kim Jones Appointed Dior Homme’s Artistic Director
Succeeding Kris Van Assche as Artistic Director of Dior Homme is Kim Jones. Previously, Jones was Men’s Artistic Director at Louis Vuitton. Prior to that he was Creative Director at Alfred Dunhill, and before that he launched and ran his own namesake line from 2003-2008. Jones’ debut collection for Dior Homme will present at Men’s Fashion Week next June.
Guillaume Henry Departs Nina Ricci as Creative Director
Nina Ricci’s Creative Director, Guillaume Henry is exiting the company after three years. Until Henry’s successor is appointed, the in-house creative team will design Nina Ricci’s upcoming collections. Henry’s last collection for the French fashion house will be the fall 2018 collection.
Charlotte Tasset Joins Nina Ricci as General Manager, Fashion and Fragrances
Nina Ricci has appointed Charlotte Tasset to General Manager of Fashion and Fragrances, effective May 22nd. Previously, Tasset was Chief Merchandising Officer of Womenswear, Lingerie, Beauty and Children’s at Printemps, the French department store chain. Prior to that, Tasset held the position of CMO for Sephora, as well as Commercial Director for Gap France.
Elaine Chang Promoted at Tibi to President
Elaine Chang has been promoted at Tibi to the newly created role of President. Prior to this appointment, Chang most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer, having originally joined Tibi in 2012. Although in a new role, Chang will continue to report to Tibi owners Amy and Frank Smilovic.
Linda Heasley Appointed J. Jill CEO
Jill Inc. has tapped Linda Heasley as their new Chief Executive Officer, effective April 16th. Heasley has served on the Board of J. Jill for the past year, but prior to being named CEO she was Chief Executive of The HoneyBaked Ham Co. Prior to that she was CEO and President of Lane Bryant for four years, and before that she was CEO at Limited Stores from 2007-2013. Heasley has also sat on the Board for Sally Beauty Holdings since May 2017.
Hugo Boss Taps Chris Martinelli as VP of Marketing and Communications
Chris Martinelli has been named VP of Marketing and Communications at Hugo Boss North America. In his new role, Martinelli will be responsible for overseeing marketing, PR, events, and partnerships for Hugo Boss’ North American operations. Martinelli joins from Equinox where he was VP and Head of Global Communications. Prior to that, his 18-year career in the industry has included senior communications roles as Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger.
Trevor Edwards Exits Nike as Brand President
Nike Inc’s Brand President, Trevor Edwards, has resigned from the company. Although not mentioned in Nike’s announcement of Edwards’ departure, there has been reports that the company received complaints about his behavior. Elliot Hill, who was previously President of Nike Geographies, will now fill the position of President of Consumer and Marketplace in Edwards’ place.
Turnbull & Asser Names Jonathan Baker as Managing Director
Turnbull & Asser have promoted Jonathan Baker to the position of Managing Director, as he was formerly Chief Operating Officer for the British brand. Baker joined Turnbull & Asser in 2016 as the Business Development Director, previously acting as the Global Head of Wholesale for Paul Smith. In his new position, Baker will formulate and execute a strategic vision for the company and guide the brand from a merchandising and marketing angle.
Tamara Mellon Appoints Celine Khavarani to SVP of Communications
Celine Khavarani has been tapped by Tamara Mellon as SVP of Communications. Previously, Celine was SVP, Global Celebrity and VIP at Marc Jacobs. Prior to that, she was VP of VIP Relations at Prada and Miu Miu. Before that, she was Director of PR and Entertainment Relations at Jimmy Choo. In her new role at Tamara Mellon, Khavarani will lead all PR, corporate communications, and VIP relations for the luxury shoe start-up.
Ellen Davis Promoted at NRF as President
The National Retail Foundation has promoted Ellen Davis to the role of President. Most recently, Davis served as the NRF’s Executive Director after having joined 16 years ago in 2002 as Manager of Media Relations. Since becoming Executive Director in 2012, she has launched the annual NRF Gala, and helped form the NRF’s “Rise Up” Program which works with nonprofits to provide retail skills and job training.

Lewis Hamilton is now Global Brand Ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger Men’s.
Natalie Kingham, previously Buying Director at MATCHESFASHION, is now Fashion & Buying Director for the company.
Jess Christie, previously Global Communications Director at MATCHESFASHION, is now Chief Brand Officer for the company.
Kate Blythe, previously Global Content Director at MATCHESFASHION, is now Chief Content Officer.
Laura Dahlgren, previously Account Coordinator at Kwittken Public Relations, is now Public Relations & Social Media Assistant at Jonathan Adler.
Carolyn Wallace, previously Public Relations Senior Coordinate at Akris, is now Public Relations Senior Coordinator at Dolce & Gabbana.
Tatler Names Tom Usher as Creative Director
Tom Usher has been named Creative Director of Tatler. Previously, Usher was Digital Creative Director at Marketing Agency PMK BNC. In the past, Usher has also served in Art Director roles at Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar UK, and Arena Magazines.
Su Mang Departs from Trends Media Group as CEO and President
Effective May 8th, CEO and President of Trends Media Group, Su Mang, is stepping down from the company. Trends Media Group is known for publishing China’s versions of Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, and Esquire, and Su Mang has headed the company from 24 years. Chairman of Trends, Liu Jiang, is set to serve as interim President while the company searches for a successor.
Condé Nast Italia Taps Riccardo Pozzoli as Creative Director of Social Talents.
Riccardo Pozzoli has been named Creative Director of Social Talents at Condé Nast Italia, heading up their new Social Talents sector. Pozzoli joins from The Blonde Salad blog where he was Co-Founder. In his new role at Condé Nast Italia, Pozzoli will oversee the selection of 200 social influencers, and act as a liaison between the company’s clients and partners. Half of the influencers Pozzoli is to select will come out of the Condé Nast Social Academy, where influencers are educated in higher standards of social media use, with an emphasis on ethical standards and quality content.
Xavier Romatet Departs Condé Nast France as President
President of Condé Nast France, Xavier Romatet, is leaving the French wing of the media conglomerate. Romatet joined Condé Nast France in 2006, and proceeded to direct the French launch of Vanity Fair in 2013, and GQ back in 2008. Romatet also acted as International VP on the Condé Nast International Executive Committee.
Elle.com Appoints Jessica Roy to Deputy Editor
Jessica Roy has been tapped as Deputy Editor to Elle.com. Roy joins from being a News Editor at The Cut, New York Magazine’s stand-alone, female-oriented site. Prior to that, she was Newsfeed Editor at Time.com as well as a Writer-Editor for The New York Observer. In her new role at Hearst-owned Elle.com, Roy will oversee daily content for the site as well as larger editorials.
WWD Promotes Paul Jowdy to Chief Business Officer
Paul Jowdy, who most recently served as WWD’s SVP and Group Publisher, has been promoted to the role of Chief Business Officer. Before joining the owner of WWD, Fairchild Media, Jowdy was Publisher on Details and Bon Appétit, and has held senior-level publishing positions at Vanity Fair and Condé Nast Traveler..
