After joining the house in July and just ahead of his forthcoming first showing for the house of Bottega Veneta, newly appointed Creative Director Daniel Lee has launched his first ad campaogn for the house.
The campaign is a turn of the cheek, literally and was provided sans logo, which doesn’t give too much away, which very well may have been the point as Lee’s first collection hasn’t debuted yet and this campaign focuses on basics and accessories.
Photographer Tyrone LeBon who photographed the houses most recent lookbooks joined Lee and stylist Marie Chaix to capture models Chiara Frizzera, Cyrielle Lalande, Rockwell Harwood, and Saskia de Brauw on the Neapolitan island of Ischia, Italy.
Overall the campaign implies a casual sophistication, comfort sensuality, and affinity to the work of Helmut Newton. It also speaks to an air of luxury that doesn’t scream for attention, instead, it commands it through focus. Which is what The Impression hopes for the house and Daniel Lee in his first runway outing. Until then, we’ll be relaxing here …. in our snakeskin folding chair.
