Have you ever seen a lobster wearing a ring? Though this may seem like the first line of a silly, knee-slapper joke, it, in fact, is simply an observation of David Webb New York’s latest ad campaign. There is no better setting for the embodiment of David Webb New York’s newest collection than a ladies brunch in an Upper East Side apartment, where bright lobster and caviar are paired with statement jewelry pieces to show off the playfulness and ‘Everyday Revelry’ that the campaign is named for.

Under the creative direction of Stephen Niedzwiecki, with agency Yard NYC, the fun campaign was shot by Juergen Teller. In an effort to “demonstrate and illuminate the ways that real women wear David Webb jewelry in their own lives,” the campaign features mother-daughter duo Pat and Anna Cleveland, and sisters Chiara and Nina Clemente.

The house of David Webb has had a reputation of women’s empowerment ever since its founding in 1948, so it is completely in its character for it to release a campaign that hones in on the everyday involvement of jewelry in a woman’s life. But never without a fun, innovative twist.

The bright colorful campaign is the best possible way for the house to get it’s messages across, and completely goes along with the message that has been central to the house for 70 years. According to a press release, “the ‘Everyday Revelry’ campaign celebrates the irreverent spirit that has always been, and continues to be, David Webb’s signature.”

As David Webb once said, “Today, a woman is not looking just for a bracelet, clip or ring, but a jewel that proves her individuality.” Well, this is clearly true as the company proved its individuality with this amusing and entertaining campaign.
