Paying tribute to feminist philosopher Naomi Zack, Maria Grazia Chiuri celebrates diversity and savior-faire in Dior’s latest 2020 Cruise Collection campaign. Chiuri draws inspiration from the abundant opportunities facing the fashion industry that call on creatives to use their platform to design a better and more inclusive world.
Narrated from the perspective of a cultural “common ground”, the advertising campaign is lensed by photographer Brigitte Niedermair — also the campaign’s Artistic Director. Captured and celebrated is each model’s diverse femininity and the art of the group coming together as one. Models Ruth Bell, Adesuqa Aighewi and Ana Barbosa showcase Dior’s timeless collection featuring textiles and embroideries inspired by African culture, representing symbols of eternity and timelessness.
