Doutzen Kroes has become the new face of Ermanno Scervino’s fall 2019 campaign. The Dutch model appears in the black and white campaign, lensed by Luigi & Iango, and garbed in items from Scervino’s fall 2019 collection.
The ad campaign is one of simplicity and minimalism. Despite being shot in black and white, the campaign is able to be modern while maintaining a timeless nature. Doutzen Kroes wears a cardinal expression, one of sensuality, and stands firm as the protagonist.
I wanted a very minimalist approach for this season. Our time is characterized by an overexposure to images and details. I, on the other hand, wanted to maintain the focus on women, on their beauty and sensuality, and on my fashion, made up of tailored garments designed to be actually worn to help women express all their femininity

The campaign allows for viewers to rediscover femininity with a masculine touch. The minimalist structure allows for female beauty to really transfer through the screen. More importantly, the beauty of the female is not only physical, but manifests in confidence.
The woman can be anything she wants to be, whether in a little black dress, a shirt and tie, or a cheetah print jacket. Through this campaign, Ermanno Scervino presents to the viewer a reinvented woman—one that demands the world to accept her as she is.
