Giuseppe Zanotti is hot on the heels of their Fall Winter 2019 campaign. In a new series of shots accompanied by a short film, the luxury shoe brand has introduced a blast from the past into the fast-paced modern world of fashion.
Shot by Photographer Soffo Moncloa, the numerous images feature a minimalist set being shot on film, bathed in a deep red hue, with the focus always on the innovative, yet classic, designs. The simplicity is what makes these pictures stand out, as the cool and compelling environment they create is defining for the brand.
Accompanied by the short film, directed by Sharna Osborne, the campaign is clearly celebrating both the strong and the soft. By utilizing quick cuts, collages, and the appearance that it could have been shot by a friend, the video invokes a sense of nostalgia in any viewer, thus highlighting the retro undertones clear in all aspects of the feature.
Giuseppe Zanotti’s unique twist on cinematic style is as evident in the rich lighting of the photographs as it is in the playful editing of the movie. As Zanotti himself has said, “The Fall collection is all about sophistication and chic contrasts.” So here is to the nostalgia of the past, the excitement of the present, and the possibilities of the future, which hopefully will involve even more ingenious designs by the fascinating brand.
