Givenchy Goes Guerrilla with Street Contest to Give Away Tickets to Their Show

Givenchy | Goes Guerrilla with Street Contest to Give Away Tickets to Their Show

It would appear that Givenchy has gone guerrilla, in terms of marketing that is, launching an outdoor, digital contest to win tickets for their forthcoming Paris show on September 30th.

To kick off an Instagram competition, the house has placed five thousand logo stickers around London and Paris as a teaser lead up to the show. People hoping to attend the show are being asked to photograph the sticker and load it onto Instagram with the hashtag #GivenchyFamily. The best three posts will win tickets to the show and featured on the brand’s own account.

Givenchy is typically not a house one thinks of when one thinks of the street. However, Claire Waight Keller’s recent revamping of the house, bringing in Meisel and crew for their fall ad campaign, and downing the brand has been interesting to watch. Kudos to the marketing team for connecting such a smart activation that is cost effective, leverages the show in a new way, and is digital to boot.
