Gucci Celebrates 2018, The Year of the Dog with New Collection
To celebrate the turn of the Chinese New Year on February 16th, the house of Gucci has turned into a full fledge dog-house with a dedicated collection of special items.
The Gucci’s dog motifs collection was inspired by a pillow that the artist Helen Downie, AKA Unskilled Worker, gave to Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele, which featured an illustration of his two Boston terriers, Bosco and Orso. Unskilled Worker’s dogs then let loose to run wild on 63 items including women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, luggage, small leather goods, and accessories.
Dog lovers that own an iPhone X can enjoy playtime with Orso and Bosco via special interactive content available on the Gucci App. Allowing them to bring Orso and Bosco to life with one’s expressions, through special face recognition technology, and record a video that can be shared from the app.
The collection is now available in all markets, both in Gucci stores and on gucci.com.
