Review of Jimmy Choo Spring 2021 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Franck Durand, Photographer Tim Elkaim, & Videographer Toby Knott with model Sharon Alexie
Jimmy Choo celebrates the return of springtime in Paris. The brand’s Spring 2021 campaign stars artist and model Sharon Alexie and features creative direction by Franck Durand, with photography by Tim Elkaim and videography by Toby Knott.
Stepping out of her studio for a walk through the streets of Paris, Alexie channels effortless energy of casual sophistication. The city itself becomes a second character with whom she interacts like an old friend, her luscious curls bouncing as she strides happily along.
Elkaim and Knott bring street-photography energy to capturing these scenes. They offer up multiple perspectives on brief moments of transition, creating a feeling of life’s fleeting motion. There is a sense of candidness and the passing scene that often eludes staged shoots.
The campaign impressively brings an air of refinement and elegance to the dynamic energy of the everyday.
