Kate Spade New York’s Fall 2018 ad campaign is an ode to unstoppable women, women who deserve to celebrate even the smallest of victories.
Shot by Inez and Vinoodh, a Dutch fashion photographer duo that will shoot all of the house’s campaigns for 2018, the campaign stars actress Margaret Qualley who is no stranger to the house, having starred in previous campaigns since becoming the face of Kate Spade earlier this year.
Known for its use of vibrant color against classic black and white, the house brings us a film that raises a glass to invincible women and personal achievements, as coworkers surprise Qualley with a toast celebrating her recent promotion, under the guise of an important meeting.
Every woman deserves to pat herself on the back every once in a while.
The house creative team wisely art directed the piece as well, allowing the narrative to unfold while using black and white as the base to contrast with the color of the offering. Drawing the eye to the key items, while still maintaining a story. Many a house would have folded its hand not realizing how easily it could be played. But then again, a Kate Spade woman always knows how to play her cards right.
