Arteriors has teamed with Ken Downing on a design installation housed in the company’s Dallas flagship. The immersive display marries elements of fashion and interior design, spanning two stories within the store’s 5,000 sq. ft. showroom.

The project is the latest in Arteriors’ Designer Interpretations program, a series of collaborations with prominent figures in the fashion and design industries. “There’s a powerful link between interior design and the runway,” said Mark Moussa, Founder and Creative Director of Anteriors. The program, which launched last year in New York, brings that link to the forefront of design.

Downing, Senior Vice President and Fashion Director at Neiman Marcus, is a connoisseur of art, furniture, and interior design. “I have a true passion for design,” Downing said. “[I] believe that an interior should be the reflection of those who inhabit it, encouraging conversation, celebrating the eccentric spirit, and honoring a never-ending passion for life’s unexpected journey.” For the Dallas flagship, he employed a blend of Art Deco and Futurist styles, effecting a vintage romp through both time and space.

The walls of the showroom are covered with a potpourri of contemporary and history-inspired art, accented by the vibrant mauve, yellow, and violet paint scheme. A medley of sconces, chandeliers, and lamps light the space. To achieve this dynamic display, Downing incorporated Arteriors products along with art and furnishings from outside sources.
