The 11-piece capsule features a sustainable bent with repurposed materials
Creative Director Margherita Maccapani Missoni has teamed up with uber online retailer YOOX to launch her first collaboration since her appointment.
The capsule collection consists of eleven pieces in celebration of M Missoni mantra of Reuse, Remix, Respect with items built from sustainable Lurex cut into sweatshirts and jersey T-shirts with colorful graphics while a black jumpsuit is made of FSC viscose, and Missoni-stock raschel serving as appliqué on a sweatshirt. M MISSONI x YOOX will be available online on YOOX from end of May with prices ranging from 75 to 360 USD.
The partnership is a wise move for the design house as YOOX is no small player. Part of the YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP which also owns Net-a-Porter, Mr. Porter, and The Outnet, the online retailer founded in 2000 gives the more youthful edge of the Missoni house a wider audience than it can hope to reach on its own and with the comfort of an online distributor who can deliver. The retail platform has offices and operations in the United States, Europe, Middle East, Japan, China, and Hong Kong and delivers to more than 180 countries around the world. As Missoni is also known the world over, the global synergies for the pairing extend well beyond this first step.
