Recognizing it’s role in the luxury lifecycle as a first step, the house of Miu Miu has released their latest Fall 2018 campaign film as an ode to young and brave urban adventures.
Directed by Alasdair McAllen with creative direction from Katie Grand, the film appeals to the young woman taking her first step into the real world, attempting to both navigate this new life and discover herself. A bevy of red heads played by models Zoe Alayrangues, Rose Daniels, Callie Dixon, Olivia Forte, Pasha Harulia, Lily Nova and Remington Williams help the campaign to pop and marry with the acidic tones layered in via special affects.
The Impression especially took note of the backing title track, Summer Camp’s “Ghost Train,” which echoes the phrase “trying to get through to you” repeatedly. The song ironically is a double entendre representing the feeling of the characters trying to get through the city, as well as Miu Miu’s marketing efforts to get through to the customers.
The spirit of the campaign and color choices by Grand bode well for the house and give it just enough zest to stand out from the pack, getting through to us, that Miu Miu is looking to stand out for Fall.
