Pyer Moss To Present Haute Couture Collection in Paris
Kerby Jean-Raymond Becomes the First Black American Designer to be Invited by the Chambre Syndicale to Present During Paris Haute Couture
Things are heating up in Paris this July as Kerby Jean-Raymond, Designer of Pyer Moss, will present a Pyer Moss Haute Couture Collection as a part of the official Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture Collections Fall/Winter 2021/2022.
The move follows on the heels of the designer announcing he will return to New York Fashion week come this September. This will be Jean-Raymond’s first time showing at NYFW since September 2019, when he staged his “American, Also” collection in Brooklyn’s Kings Theater to over 3,000 guests.
This will be the first time Pyer Moss has been invited as a guest designer at Paris Haute Couture and the first Haute Couture collection by the house. This also makes Jean-Raymond the first Black American designer to be invited by the Chambre Syndicale to present during Paris Haute Couture.
