rag & bone is back again with their latest DIY Project featuring model, Lily Aldridge, who is no stranger to the brand. You may remember her from when she first appeared in the DIY Campaign for Spring 2011. The saying is true, good things do come in pairs.
Aldridge started her career at the age of 16 and has worked with some of the industry’s leading photographers, gracing international covers of Vogue, Elle, GQ, and L’Officiel. So it should come as no surprise that the model has enough familiarity with the camera to pull off a stand alone ad campaign.
Aldridge is also married to Caleb Followill, the lead singer of Kings of Leon, which affords her the opportunity to travel all over for different music festivals. Setting the appropriate venue for backstage access which she captures here sitting on music storage cases and around music talent trailers. Dare we say Groupie? When she’s not at concerts or modeling she also is an active philanthropist willing to dedicate her time to different organizations to help families in need.
She gives us backstage access to a show in Nashville, adding some rock and roll to the campaign. Out of all the things she could’ve photographed it’s an interesting and clever move that she made. Making it almost as if she’s filming herself back in time with the black and white photos, enjoying her best life behind the scenes at a concert.
rag & bone keeps expanding including more and more personalities like Ashley Graham and Paris Jackson to the DIY campaign. Now all we can do is wait and see who will be the next face to join the DIY project family.
