Working in both color and black and white, Weiss creates portraits of diverse New Yorkers against the backdrop of the city. Rather than being glamorized or dressed up, the city is taken as it is, with all its hard-edged beauty and visual complexity becoming a character unto itself.
His film puts these portraits into motion, following these unique characters down their streets, while an energetic electronic beat emphasizes the energy of the city and the personalities who call it home.
