Designer Stefano Pilati returned to the fray, debuting his first collection of contemporary staples, Random Identities, last night at SSENSE’s headquarters in Montréal.
Pilati, who was the head designer of Yves Saint Laurent from 2004 until 2012 then head designer of Ermenegildo Zegna until 2016, has been absent from the runway for the last several years. The new collection aims to combine Pilati’s extensive design expertise into garments that are menswear oriented and inspired by wardrobe classics.
