Sacai has opened its month long residency at colette that features products from friends of the label and a pop up café serving Japanese delectables

Sacai on Monday opened Jardin sacai at colette, its month long residency at the Parisian boutique.

The residency is Sacai designer Chitose Abe’s take on the City of Light, drawing inspiration from parks in Paris, but the space retains the label’s street attitude.

Jardin Sacai is home to Sacai’s ready-to-wear women’s and men’s collections, and children’s piece that are available only during the residency in September, as well as exclusive products from friends and collaborators of Abe, including Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design, product designer GELCHOP, and photographer Craig McDean, who’s archive work for Sacai will be shown throughout the space on Sept. 18th and appears on limited edition t-shirts.

Collectors will have to stop by colette every week, because of new delivery’s of Sacai products, and exclusive product drops from Converse, Globe-Trotter, Olympia Le-Tan, House of Voltaire, Lacoste, Levi’s and The North Face, among others.

And for those that aren’t looking to shop, Jardin Sacai houses a pop up café serving Japan’s Toriba Coffee, Toraya, traditional confectionery founded in the early 16th century, and small snacks made from Japanese Balmuda toasters.

To me, colette is a spiritual home for sacai. The store was one of the very first to embrace my work and it’s been a real meeting of minds. It’s an honour to have been chosen and trusted with Sarah’s wonderful playground.

- Chitose Abe, Founder & Creative Director of Sacai

Jardin Sacai will remain at colette until September 30.
