McCartney Debuts ‘Stella Shared 3 x Cannondale’ Hand-Painted Bicycles To Celebrate Unisex Capsule

Stella McCartney has joined forces with Cannondale on a series of limited-edition custom bicycles featuring hand-painted prints celebrating its Stella Shared 3 unisex capsule, with two designs created by each of the collection’s three featured artists: Ed Curtis in London, Myfawnwy (Maisie Broome) in New York City and Tom Tosseyn in Antwerp. Only 18 of the hand-crafted performance cycles were made in total, including the world’s fastest bike, the SystemSix, alongside the ultra-lightweight SuperSix EVO and SuperSix EVO CX. The British sustainable luxury pioneer advanced the capsule’s spirit of shared communities, values and collaboration through the Cannondale partnership and, while the bikes are not available for purchase, there is a chance to win one at key flagships globally.

“As a lifelong cyclist and someone who rides their bicycle every day to work, I could not be more excited for my new shared journey with Cannondale. The bikes we have created with our Shared 3 artist collaborators embody our common values and vision – blending beauty and desirability with a sense of responsibility to the next generation.”

“Stella McCartney represents over two decades’ worth of sustainable focused fashion dripping in audacious energy. She challenges long-held conventions across fashion and our partnership directs this mentality into cycling. Each bike in the collection has been made to follow a different language from the other yet maintains a common connection through defying how road bikes typically look.” – Nick Larsen, Cannondale Creative Director

Inspired by ‘Y is for Youth’ from the McCartney A to Z Manifesto, the Stella Shared 3 x Cannondale collaboration combines artistry and athleticism to connect the unisex capsule today with the generation of tomorrow. Both brands have a shared heritage of material innovation and commitment to environmental stewardship, with bike riding offering significant benefits to the health of both people and planet.
