Simplistic designs were taken to the next level as designers used bold prints, large cutouts, ruffles, belts, and embellishments to make swimwear for Spring 2017 anything but boring.
Swimsuits were incorporated into full Ready-to-Wear looks this season with tops and bottoms paired with jackets, skirts and pants. One-pieces and high waisted bottoms ruled the runway.
Michael Kors and Altuzarra’s fun and flirty designs incorporated ruffles and belts. Miu Miu flaunted retro designs with bold patterns incorporating modern cutouts. Missoni stood out from the rest by using knit fabric and muted earth tones for a “barely there” look.
