Although only having been conceived 15 years go, Japanese brand Tatras has already found its place in the international market. Specifically, the brand designs and sells high end down jackets. Creating a community for ones self in the fashion industry, especially internationally, is incredibly difficult. Nonetheless, Tatras has managed well, and has three flagships stores in Asia and one in Europe. Their community is ever growing, and their #noborder FW 19/20 Campaign celebrates some members of their community.
Duckie Thot is an Australian model with South Sudanese heritage. Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele is a legendary French Stylist. Ella Richards is a British model, daughter of a Rolling Stone. Eugene Hutz is a Ukrainian-born singer and frontman of the band Gogol Bordello. Marty Baller is an American rapper from Harlem, New York. Caleb Altice is an American model.
The Tatras campaign consists of six figures, who at first glance, could be considered an atypical blend of people. The campaign gives us no clue as to how this community of people came to be. One thing’s for sure, they enjoy each other and are choosing to be with one other. Tatras has been hard at work, growing their brand, and planting roots all around the world. May their roots grow deep, and may Tatras bear fruit.
