Thom Browne Assists Barça Foundation In Their Covid-19 Adaptation Goal

Thom Browne has launched a limited-edition capsule collection celebrating FC Barcelona’s Barca Foundation. The capsule is a continuation of Thom Browne and FC Barcelona’s partnership, with all proceeds from capsule sales directly benefiting the Barça Foundation. The Foundation was established in 1994 as a way for Barcelona locals and fans to live up to the club’s motto “More Than a Club,” providing developmental tools and programs to work for the inclusion of vulnerable children and youth through sport worldwide.

All proceeds from the capsule will contribute to support necessary adjustments to the Foundation’s programs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through these adaptations, they will ensure that the children participating in the Foundation’s programs can stay involved and active from the safety of their home, at a time when connection is vital to their physical and emotional well-being. Thom Browne sponsors the Barça Foundation’s Social Inclusion Program in New York.

The Program is made possible through a partnership between the Barça Foundation, the NYC Department of Education, and the support of Thom Browne. The program implements the FutbolNet methodology developed by Barça using sport as a tool to help students in participating schools develop and strengthen social-emotional skills. The club and brand are joining together to ensure that, now more than ever, no child is left offside.

This collection shows Thom Browne’s continued empowerment of the missions of athletes, on and off the field. Through the Foundation’s four lines of action– youth violence prevention, access to education, social inclusion, and social innovation, this charitable alliance positions sport as one of the principal agents of social change.
