Review of Tiffany & Co. Botanica Spring 2022 Ad Campaign with Talent Gal Gadot
Gal Gadot is the latest face of Tiffany & Co. for the luxury jewelry giant’s Spring 2022 campaign.
The Wonder Woman star shines in a simple series of portraits, wearing the house’s latest edition of its Blue Book high jewelry collection. Titled “Botanica” the collection twists gold, silver, diamonds, and other precious gems into organic shapes drawn from the natural world.
Considering that her ties to the IDF and vocal support of the Israeli military have drawn criticism and controversy in light of the past year’s escalation of violence between Israel and Palestine, Gadot might be a bit of a controversial cover girl for the brand (considering LVMH’s withdrawal from Russia in light of its invasion of Ukraine, there may be a subtle scent of hypocrisy here). While there’s no denying Gadot’s starpower, beauty, and strength, the casting choice does not come without a bit of risk.
Nonetheless, with its intersection of Gadot’s beauty and strength and the elaborate, shining craftsmanship of its jewelry designs, the campaign is sure to make a big impact.
