The most labourist collections to mount the catwalks are each season’s couture shows drawing press and consumers alike for the ultimate in premium fashion coupled with fashion’s first sincere buy-now, wear-now. This Spring 2020 season marked the final bow for fashion veteran Jean Paul Gaultier who watched over the years as his influence went on to inspire countless copycats while his own house transformed into mainly a fragrance business. His final collection was a summary of greatest hits which reminded us of just what a fashion great he truly is. Should his legacy continue beyond sents remains to be seen but it is an archive worth a revisit.
