Honorees Were Celebrated At The American Museum Of Natural History In A Night Hosted By Teyana Taylor

The Council of Fashion Designers of America held its annual CFDA Fashion Awards Monday night at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, marking an evening of recognition across American womenswear, menswear, accessories, emerging talent, and broader contributions to the fashion industry.
The award for American Womenswear Designer of the Year went to Ralph Lauren, who previously received the honor in 1995. He was presented the award by Naomi Watts, who also attended Lauren’s Spring 2026 show in September, held at the brand’s Madison Avenue headquarters. That collection focused on restrained sensuality, ease, and modern tailoring, steering away from spectacle and toward atmosphere.
Thom Browne received the American Menswear Designer of the Year award. Currently serving as CFDA chairman, Browne was recognized for his continued exploration of conceptual tailoring, most recently with a Spring 2026 collection shown in Paris that reimagined his classic grey flannel aesthetic through an extraterrestrial lens. His award was presented by Mark Ronson alongside Public School’s Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne.

For American Accessory Designer of the Year, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen were honored for The Row. The brand, which also showed in Paris this season, presented sculptural accessories that leaned into subtle luxury, including natural linen top-handle bags and understated pumps. It marks the third time the Olsens have won in this category, following wins in 2014 and 2018. Their award was presented by Benito Skinner and Jennifer Fisher.
The Google Shopping American Emerging Designer of the Year Award was presented to Ashlynn Park for her label Ashlyn. A finalist for the 2022 LVMH Prize, Park launched her brand in 2020 and is recognized for precision tailoring, commitment to sustainability, and a sharp design sensibility. She was presented the award by Addison Rae and Christopher John Rogers.
Other major awards of the evening included the Isabel Toledo Board of Directors’ Award, given to Andre Walker and presented by Vogue Runway’s Nicole Phelps. Cynthia Rowley received the Founder’s Award in honor of Eleanor Lambert, presented by Julianne Moore. The Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award went to Ralph Rucci, with Browne presenting.
Sara Moonves, editor in chief of W, was honored with the Media Award in honor of Eugenia Sheppard, presented by Jennifer Lawrence. A$AP Rocky received the Fashion Icon Award from Anna Wintour, while Donatella Versace was presented the Positive Change Award by Ariana DeBose and Amber Valletta.
Jerry Lorenzo of Fear of God received the Innovation Award by Amazon Fashion, presented by Ava DuVernay. Pieter Mulier of Alaïa was named International Designer of the Year, presented by Naomi Campbell.
The 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards were hosted by Teyana Taylor and supported by Amazon Fashion, Google Shopping, MAC Cosmetics, Krug, and Lincoln.
