Coinciding with the highly anticipated return of Art Basel Miami, The Webster invited Les Benjamins to host an exclusive pop-up at the iconic South Beach concept store for the first time.
Lifting inspiration from Les Benjamins’ Spring Summer 2022 collection—entitled ‘The Mystic Journey—the pop-up will see the East Coast store transformed into Marrakesh’s Majorelle Gardens. Citing the gardens’ innate ability to cleanse the mind and spirit during Covid-19 lockdown, Les Benjamins’ creative director Bunyamin Aydin centered the collection on the rich soothing colour palette of the gardens.
Complete with a life-size recreation of the fountain and cacti of the Majorelle Gardens in the windows, as well as signature details including pastel green tiles, royal azure blue felt and marigold yellow — the pop- up was designed by the brands’ long-time collaborator Dong Ping Wong, of renowned architectural studio Food New York.
Housing an exclusive preview of the Pre-SS22 collection, which sees the brand once again team-up with British artist Neil Raitt on a one-off print hand painted by the artist, a limited edition capsule collection will be available for sale: varying from jersey t-shirts, swimwear, bucket hats, hoodies and sweatpants to an exclusive 100 percent silk capsule collection consisting of a Majorelle Garden-print dress, shorts, button- down shirt and bag.
With one print centered on the Majorelle Garden and the other on the rich textures and buzzing lifestyle of the winding souks of Marrakesh, both the collection and pop-up serve as a vital escapism after a year like no other, offering the eye to travel.
Running from December 2nd – 12th, the pop-up, and collection, will then migrate from Miami to Webster Los Angeles and finally New York.
