Making use of a vintage film aesthetic to fill his images with both a sense of nostalgia and contemporary energy, Connors shoots the collection against the iconic pastel facades and lush tropical foliage of Miami, situating Veronica Beard’s girlbosses in a narrative that is at once dreamy and familiar.
The accompanying short film pushes this feeling, capturing them on the go through a retro and energetic lens with a soundtrack that makes effective use of a disco-inflected indie pop bop to up the summertime energy.
