New York Diwali Gala: A Star-Studded Night Celebrating South Asian Community
On Friday, November 3rd a star-studded crowd, including notable attendees like Ariana DeBose, Jessel Taank, Jenna Lyons, Madhulika Sharma, and Tinx, gathered at the Mandarin Oriental for the NewYorkDiwali Gala, a celebration and fundraiser that aims to shine a light on the progress, growth, and meaningful connections within the South Asian community.
The glamourous evening was a moment for fashion, commencing with the grand reveal of a custom gown designed by Bibhu Mohapatra in collaboration with The Glenlivet, worn by international model and entrepreneur, Pritika Swarup. A bold and original take on traditional Diwali attire, inspired by the Diwali night sky and The Glenlivet’s mission to set new standards, the dress was a show-stopping sight adorned with intricate embroidery and a kaleidoscope of crystals and sequins.
