Review of Tiffany & Co. “Blue Book” Winter 2023 Digital Ad Campaign by Creative Directors Ronnie Cooke Newhouse & Karl Bolander and Photographer Craig McDean with model Anya Taylor-Joy
Anya Taylor-Joy brings modern elegance to Tiffany & Co.’s traditional Blue Book high jewelry campaign. The actor was shot by photographer Craig McDean with creative direction by Ronnie Cooke Newhouse and Karl Bolander.
The Blue Book, named after Tiffany’s signature robin-egg hue, traces its origins back to 1845 as a mail-order catalog. In the early 20th century, it evolved into an annual publication of Tiffany’s most exceptional and rare high jewelry creations, and this practice continues today, evolving to encompass digital channels while staying true to its roots.
A Tiffany muse since 2021, Taylor-Joy brings contemporary charm and poise to the high jewelry selection’s character of superlative elegance. McDean’s photographic perspective is direct and bright, keeping the focus on the star’s embodiment of glimmering sophistication. Tiffany asserts its unmistakable ownership over it all via the signature blue background, making the campaign unmistakable even before we read that iconic name.
