The Best Digital Fashion Programs of the Spring 2024 Season
In today’s marketing landscape, virtually every campaign incorporates some digital aspect; even those primarily designed for print end up permeating the internet and social media platforms. Our Best Digital Programs category spotlights those fashion marketing endeavors that leverage the medium’s potential for innovation and creativity, or that thrive solely within its digital realm. Recent years have marked a significant shift, with digital and out-of-home marketing surpassing traditional methods in impact, execution, and reach within the fashion industry. Despite economic uncertainties leading many fashion houses to play it safe with traditional campaigns, the proliferation of platforms like Instagram reels and TikTok empowered brands to engage audiences in more relevant ways.
It’s not strictly fashion, but all fashion marketers can learn a thing or two from CeraVe’s extended campaign in partnership with Michael Cera, which took a brilliant multi-channel approach that generated far-reaching hype and engagement in the leadup to its Super Bowl finale.
While Seán McGirr’s debut collection for Alexander McQueen was polarizing to say the least, the campaign released to the brand’s Instagram ahead of the show – which exuded a stylishly ominous, earthy energy – was undeniably exciting.
Celebrating his brand’s 40th anniversary, Marc Jacobs announced a slate of exciting collaborations with his creative friends that will release across the year, each with its own launch campaign that brings the two partners’ styles playfully together.
Phoebe Philo continues to make the most of her extremely coveted status and digital-first approach, celebrating the arrival of her second collection with an excellent set of visuals released only on her website and Instagram.
Ssense brilliantly celebrated the arrival of kidswear with a campaign that riffed on spelling bees as it prompted its star tots to spell the notoriously tricky names of certain designers and brands.
Here are The Impression’s picks for the best digital fashion programs of the Spring 2024 season as selected by our editorial team.
