Moda Operandi is launching an exclusive capsule collection called “The Art of Dressing” in partnership with The Frankie Shop. This collaboration kicks off with a pop-up event strategically aligned with the Frieze New York art fair, inspired by the vibrant women of the art world. The collection offers 15 pieces designed for the chic summer city life, combining simplicity and sophistication.

April Hennig, Chief Merchant at Moda Operandi, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: “We’re incredibly excited to have collaborated with Gaëlle and her team on an exclusive capsule that solves the ever-present conundrum of what to wear to look chic in the city heat. The collection, with pieces that transition smoothly from day-to-night, showcases neutral colors that enhance the wardrobe essentials The Frankie Shop is known for.”

The Frankie Shop’s founder, Gaëlle Drevet, commented on the partnership, highlighting the alignment with Moda Operandi’s platform, which curates fashion to empower women. “Our ‘Art of Dressing’ capsule embodies that aesthetics matter, drawing inspiration from the freedom and audacity of the art world. It is a celebration of self-confidence,” Drevet stated.

To bring this vision to life, Moda Operandi and The Frankie Shop tapped notable women in the New York City art scene for their campaign, shot by photographer Myrthe Giesbers. Featured are gallerist Hannah Traore and artists Simone Bodmer-Turner and Emma Scully, each celebrated for their unique contributions to contemporary art and design.

The pop-up shop, set at High Line Nine in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood, will open with a VIP preview on May 3, followed by public access on May 4 and 5. This physical introduction allows for an immersive shopping experience before the collection’s digital launch. The collaboration includes not just the pop-up but also a VIP cocktail event, enhancing engagement with tastemakers and influencers.

The capsule collection, featuring everything from sophisticated swimsuits to evening wear, will be available for purchase at the pop-up and subsequently online at ModaOperandi.com starting May 6. Prices for the collection range from $98 for smaller items to $436 for key pieces, offering a variety of options for consumers seeking to blend high fashion with everyday functionality.

This launch marks the latest in a series of successful exclusive capsule releases by Moda Operandi, following the By Malene Birger’s Summer 2024 Vacation Capsule and the multi-brand Club Moda Surf capsule, establishing Moda Operandi as a leading destination for unique fashion experiences.
