Pierre Mahéo Draws Inspiration from Parisian Galleries for Latest Collection

Pierre Mahéo, like many of his peers, finds endless inspiration in the streets and style of Paris. For his latest collection, Mahéo turned to the art-filled neighborhoods of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, mainly focusing on the gallerists showcasing fine art and sculpture.

Drawn explicitly to Quai Voltaire and Galerie Chenel, where he shot the lookbook, Mahéo wanted to capture the essence of the gallerists wearing the clothes. “This collection is real, and that’s just how we wanted it. There is nothing forced, no special runway pieces. What you see in these pictures is right here, hanging on the racks,” the designer explained during a presentation at his showroom in the 6th arrondissement.

The Officine collection embodied sophistication, ease, and sensuality. From lightweight wide-leg jeans to olive green trousers that blended the characteristics of jeans and chinos, every piece exuded a calm elegance.

Tailoring took center stage in the collection, featuring navy lightweight wool jackets, sleeveless pieces with raw armhole edges, and olive green suits with just the right slouch. Mahéo emphasized the precision and consistency required in tailoring, especially when ensuring the perfect fit for women’s pants.

For Mahéo, the thrill lies in bestowing real people with the effortless elegance often seen on the streets of Paris. His latest collection reflects this dedication to authenticity and the timeless allure of Parisian style.
