PLAY Comme des Garçons and Converse Celebrate 15 Years

PLAY Comme des Garçons and Converse Celebrate 15 Years with Reissue of Original Single Hearts Design

Marking the Anniversary with a Return to the Iconic 2009 Collaboration

PLAY Comme des Garçons and Converse are celebrating their 15-year partnership with the reissue of the original Single Hearts design, accompanied by a campaign shot by photographer and director Jamie Hawkesworth. This collaboration, which began in 2009 with the introduction of the “Hearts and Eyes” logo on the Chuck Taylor All-Star, has significantly influenced modern footwear partnerships and remains a sought-after collection in fashion and culture.

The collaboration, which has seen over 20 iterations since its inception, is celebrated for shaping modern footwear partnerships and becoming a sought-after collection in fashion and culture. This anniversary release will see the original Single Hearts design on the Chuck 70 and Chuck 70 Ox for the first time.

Maintaining the logo details from the 2009 original, the PLAY Comme des Garçons x Converse OG Single Hearts pack features the signature heart-and-eyes logo, known for its minimalist yet optimistic style. Over the years, this logo has adorned various Converse silhouettes, appearing amidst polka dots and in enlarged forms on the brand’s beloved styles.

The OG Single Hearts pack will include four styles available in both adult and kids sizes. The “Hearts and Eyes” logo will be positioned on the lateral side of the Chuck 70s, offered in classic Milk and Black colorways with white foxing and toecaps. These limited-edition Chucks, crafted from premium canvas, will feature co-branded sock-liners, OrthoLite cushioning for comfort, and a vintage license plate for an elevated feel.
