"Kleio Bag" Fall 2024 Ad Campaign

Review of Versace “Kleio Bag” Fall 2024 Ad Campaign by Creative Directors Song Taejong and Rosie Marks with Photographers Mok Jung Wook and Rosie Marks and models NINGNING, Ali Dansky, Tara Halliwell, and Mila Van Eeten

Versace evokes distinctive personalities with the new campaign for its Kleio bag, positioning the accessory as fit for both K-pop icons and the simple journeys of everyday life.

The campaign is composed of two distinct sections, the first of which features K-pop star Ningning of Aespa. Captured in direct yet dramatic studio portraits by photographer Mok Jung, she cuts an imposingly stylish figure and carries the Kleio bag close like a piece of modern armor.

Meanwhile, the other section of the campaign carries forward the same color palette of black, white, and gray with red and gold accents, but through a very different visual and narrative perspective. Shot by photographer Rosie Marks, these images follow their characters in the everyday moment of transition when one steps through one’s door and out into the world, moving from private intimacy to public life. The energetic perspective on this recognizable moment taps into the power of a handbag to define this transition, seeing it as an icon of personality that bridges these aspects of private and public.

Though the two halves of the campaign may offer very distinct visual perspectives, they both richly portray the Kleio as a steadfast and striking emblem of personality – no matter where or who you are. Taken together, they create a multifaceted style portrait, evoking a fiercely individual persona while speaking to a broad range of stylish women.
