Ahead of Paddington in Peru, Gap Launches a Collection in Partnership with the Iconic Bear
Aligning with the U.S. premiere of the film Paddington in Peru on January 15, Gap is set to launch a Paddington-themed limited-edition capsule collection for toddlers and infants. A mix of everyday essentials constitute the 19-piece collection, which features delightful graphics and elaborate embroidery inspired by famed London landmarks.
The collection predominantly bears a conservative color scheme of red, white, and blue. The line boasts an interesting assortment of graphic t-shirts, sweatshirts, onesies, and outerwear. In a few pieces, Paddington is featured alongside the Gap’s logo on the sweat sets, while a varsity jacket, inspired by collegiate themes, displays patches prominently. Other key items include a blue cotton shirt with detailed embroidery and a fresh interpretation of Paddington’s signature duffle coat in denim form.
Apart from these, the capsule also has a dress knit in sweater material, a footless one-piece sweater, graphic t-shirts, crew socks with Baby Paddington designs, and a Baby Gap chambray dress.
The collection fits toddler and baby sizes, ranging from 0-3 months to 5 years, and is available online and at select Gap stores.
The film saw its world premiere in London on November 3, and reached the theaters in the United Kingdom on November 8.
