Review of Prada Re-Nylon Ad Campaign by National Geographic CreativeWorks with models Sadie Sink and Benedict Cumberbatch

Prada artfully explores the Earth’s fragile ecosystems with the latest campaign for its Re-Nylon initiative and the conservation work it supports.

The campaign sees the brand collaborate for the third time with storytelling partner National Geographic CreativeWorks to explore the origins of its groundbreaking Re-Nylon initiative in a series of four documentary films, featuring actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Sadie Sink, along with SEA BEYONDers and Goodwill Ambassadors of the project Valentina Gottlieb and Giovanni Chimienti, as well as local National Geographic experts.

Across the new documentary chapters, Cumberbatch and Sink explore the vital ecosystems of Norway and Mexico. Each episode offers a deep dive into the marine environments, highlighting their splendor and the pressing threats they face while showcasing the communities and environments impacted by the initiative. The films consider the delicate balance of marine life, underscoring ongoing efforts to safeguard these crucial habitats. This initiative aligns with the Prada Group’s SEA BEYOND project, which is dedicated to fostering ocean literacy and advocating for the preservation of the world’s oceans.

The campaign is another strong example of Prada’s masterful ability to blend its various cultural initiatives – fashion, outdoorsmanship, cinematic partnerships, environmentalism – into compelling digital narratives.
