The Online Retailer Continues to Boost Its Roster with a Focus on Strengthening Brand Identity and Customer Experience

Ssense has announced significant internal promotions within its Customer, Supply Chain, and Marketing departments. This move is part of the company’s ongoing transformation, focused on strengthening brand identity and customer experience.

Christine Sio has been named Chief Customer Officer. With a strong background in e-commerce, customer experience, operations, and commercial strategy, Sio brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles at top retail and e-commerce brands. In her new position, she will oversee global demand generation, conversion, and customer loyalty, leading a team focused on strategic marketing, personalized experiences, and data-driven insights. Previously, Sio served as Vice President of Customer Experience at Ssense, where she led significant improvements in customer experience, sales, and profitability.

Melissa Malik has been promoted to Chief Supply Chain Officer. Malik, with over 20 years of experience in e-commerce operations and supply chain management, has been instrumental in driving transformations in these areas for global brands. As Chief Supply Chain Officer, she will manage all aspects of the supply chain, ensuring that Ssense’s delivery aligns with business goals. Her prior role as Vice President of Global Fulfillment Operations at Ssense saw her introduce key automation and system upgrades that enhanced operational efficiency and fulfillment speeds.

Both Sio and Malik will be reporting to Rami Atallah, the co-founder and chief executive officer of Ssense, and are based in Montreal.

Haein Dorin has been appointed Global Head of Marketing, recognized as a leading figure in marketing and brand strategy. Dorin, previously the Global Head of Partnerships at Ssense, has a proven track record of driving brand growth and fostering community engagement. In her new role, she will lead creative, partnerships, editorial, social, and marketing teams, focusing on brand awareness and positioning Ssense as a cultural innovator. Dorin’s experience includes significant roles at Highsnobiety and Condé Nast, where she developed successful strategies for global partners.

“Ssense is a powerful voice in the global cultural dialogue. I’m thrilled to lead this unified team — spanning creative, partnerships, editorial, social and marketing — as we deepen our connection with our community, redefine the boundaries of fashion, and continue to push culture forward,” said Dorin on her promotion.
