The Limited-Edition Piece Revives a Design Icon for Contemporary Use
Saint Laurent Rive Droite has extended its partnership with Danish electronics company Bang & Olufsen, marking their fifth collaboration with a redesign and reissue of the iconic Beogram 4000 Series turntable.
Originally introduced in the early 1970s, the Beogram 4000 Series turntable helped to define the aesthetic of the era, and since has gone down in audiophile history as a design classic that remains a coveted collector’s item.
Under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello, the two brands have restored ten original editions of the turntable and transformed them into Beogram 4000c recreated editions, modernized for contemporary use. Each piece is housed in a solid ziricote wood case, individually numbered, accented with aluminum details, and finished with an etched logo.
The limited-edition pieces are set to be available at Saint Laurent Rive Droite stores in Paris and Los Angeles, as well as on Saint Laurent’s website.
