From Prada’s Clarity to Dior’s Anticipation, Milan Wraps as Paris Readies for Anderson’s Debut
After a week of Milan’s finest offerings, it was Prada who delivered the palate cleanser we didn’t know we needed. In a season where the industry often feels like it’s running at full sprint, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons chose to slow things down. The result? A collection that felt instinctive, fluid, and—frankly—like a breath of fresh air.
“Calm, nice, gentle,” said Mrs. Prada post-show. “Sometimes it’s good to reflect, and be a bit more calm,” Raf Simons added. While others pile on detail for the sake of drama, Prada reminded us that editing is a creative act of its own. “This has been the easiest collection I have ever done,” Simons shared. “Everything worked really easily.” Mrs. Prada nodded: “This was not conceptual… it was more instinctive.”
Instinct also seems to be guiding Jonathan Anderson as he prepares for his much-anticipated Dior debut in Paris. Today, the designer dropped teaser images via Instagram featuring polaroids of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Lee Radziwill by Andy Warhol—early signals of the collection’s emotional pulse. “As I started out on this journey, I kept returning to these photographs… who are both, for me, the epitome of style,” Anderson wrote. There’s something telling about a designer who seeks out icons not to replicate them, but to channel the feeling they evoke.

And perhaps that’s the bigger lesson in this moment: instinct is not a retreat from the rational, but a creative north star when the path ahead is murky. Both Anderson and the Prada duo reminded us this week that great fashion doesn’t come from chasing complexity or bending to the market’s noise—it comes from tuning in, not out. In a season where the industry is navigating slower growth, shifting audiences, and a constant pressure to prove relevance, the ones who cut through are those who follow a deeper, more personal logic.
So as we pack up in Milan and head to Paris, we’re keeping our eyes on the ones who trust their gut—and encouraging you to do the same. Whether you’re creating collections, leading teams, or simply figuring out your next step, it’s a moment to believe in your taste, your vision, and yes, your instincts.

Stay tuned as we bring you the highlights, happenings, and instinct-driven brilliance from all of Men’s shows.
Warm Regards,
