Review of Dior Men’s Winter 2025 Ad Campaign
Dior’s Winter 2025-2026 Men’s Collection gives a nod to the old, and highlights the new in a strikingly simplistic campaign during this transitory moment in time. Inspired by Christian Dior’s “H” line from 1954 this collection features streamlined silhouettes that provide elegant structure. This campaign captures the house in its current state, evolving, yet unwavering in its power.
The “H” line from 1954 consisted of frames which mirrored each other from top to bottom. Showcasing large shoulders and hips, cinching ever so slightly at the waist, forming the namesake “H” shape. With voluptuous cuffs, dramatic dark coats, and strong solid bases these same formations are seen in this campaign. Along with form, this collection is host to a wistful baby pink, originally used in Dior’s Haute Couture 1954 collection, specifically the Cuba design worn by model Odile Kern. Dior uses this shade once again, with intention. In the words of Christain Dior himself, pink is:
“the sweetest of all colors…it can be charming for suits and coats; and it is wonderful for evening frocks.”
This subtle detail ties the collection to the brand’s heritage and legacy ever so gracefully in a pretty pink bow. This color, which Dior also describes as being “the color of happiness and femininity,” seamlessly blends the masculine and feminine features of the garments. Color is one of many ways this campaign stands at the convergence of inspiration and genre. The imagery provides side by sides of the models, forcing us to sit in the middle ground. The accessories featured here are newer, beloved, trademarks of the brand including the Dior Saddle Bag and the Dior Normandie Tote. They form an intersection between newly beloved pieces and stand-out classic formation.
The blank backdrops and static imagery allow for the collection to bask in the light of legacy. As the tides change at Dior this campaign is the perfect portrayal of timelessness. Refined shades, and luxuriously tailored coats are shown in a modernized light, calling to the past, and pointing towards the future – all while we all stand at the precipice of mastery.
