Holiday 2025 Ad Campaign

Review of Ferrari Holiday 2025 ad campaign by Lorenzo Gironi

Ferrari’s Holiday 2025 campaign, directed by Lorenzo Gironi, unfolds like a three-act performance—each scene designed to celebrate the power of motion, the beauty of craft, and the emotion of belonging. Yet while the film captures that energy through choreography and rhythm, the stills struggle to keep pace, landing closer to product catalogue than cinematic storytelling.

Act 1

Act One opens outside the legendary Ferrari headquarters in Maranello, grounding the narrative in the brand’s spiritual home. Against the iconic yellow signage, models embody quiet authority in precision-cut tailoring and minimal sportswear—an homage to the discipline and drive that define the marque. The crisp, structured compositions feel deliberate, though they lack the vitality that animates the moving version.

Act 2

Act Two dives headlong into Ferrari red. The shots turn overtly commercial, with leather goods, stilettos, and bags shot in near-monochrome intensity. While the chromatic focus is undeniably striking, the result reads as in-store signage rather than editorial immersion—a missed opportunity to fuse the kinetic energy of the film into the stills.

Act Three restores warmth and narrative. Set within Ristorante Cavallino, it channels Italian conviviality through a modern lens—red lacquer, champagne flutes, laughter, and a sense of shared celebration. Here, Ferrari becomes not just a brand, but a table around which style, community, and emotion meet.

Act 3

Under Rocco Iannone’s creative direction, the collection’s craftsmanship—structured leather, aerodynamic cuts, and subtly engineered detailing—continues to elevate Ferrari’s place within the luxury fashion conversation. But while the film races ahead with elegance and emotion, the still imagery idles in neutral, beautifully styled yet short of ignition. One can’t help but wish the house had run a parallel shoot—translating movement into stillness with the same precision as its cars.

A campaign that, much like a Ferrari engine, sounds best when in motion.
