Moncler Launches First U.S. Moncler Grenoble Store in Aspen

Moncler has opened its first Moncler Grenoble flagship store in the United States, selecting Aspen, Colorado as the location for the launch. Known globally as a premier mountain destination, Aspen aligns with the brand’s alpine roots. The city also holds historic relevance for Moncler, being the site of its first U.S. store established in 2008.

The Aspen boutique becomes the second global flagship exclusively for the Moncler Grenoble line, following the brand’s initial opening in St. Moritz, Switzerland. According to the company, the space is designed not just as a retail location but as a showcase of Moncler’s mountain-centric identity. The store offers an immersive experience that highlights the fusion of technical performance and modern style—an ethos central to the Moncler Grenoble brand.

The store covers 250 square meters and draws architectural inspiration from the surrounding Rocky Mountains. Natural materials are used throughout, reflecting the terrain, forests, and light of the region. The design emphasizes a blend of craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetics, creating an environment that connects the alpine landscape with refined interior elements.

Architecture firm Küchel Architects, based in Switzerland, led the design. Their concept integrates robust structural forms with fluid spatial design. Lighting is carefully curated to highlight textures and guide visitors through various sections of the store. “Light and shadow interact across surfaces, highlighting texture contrasts and shaping a truly immersive retail experience,” according to the description provided.

The entrance is built to resemble a cave, referencing Moncler’s mountaineering heritage. At the center of the boutique stands a large sculptural tree, doubling as seating with a built-in circular bench and serving as a central display area. The store layout includes dome-capped circular bays that present the Moncler Grenoble collection in a rhythmic and organized manner. Accessories are displayed on custom-designed metal branches, while furniture made of wood and stone reinforces the brand’s alpine aesthetic.

Sustainability was considered in the construction and design. The boutique was built to meet international standards for environmental impact and energy efficiency and is currently undergoing the LEED certification process, one of the leading environmental building rating systems.

The Aspen flagship is intended to support year-round mountain activities. It will carry the Moncler Grenoble line’s full range, including both Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer collections, reinforcing the brand’s all-season strategy.

The store opening occurred just ahead of a brand event on January 31 in the Aspen mountains, where Moncler Grenoble’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection was officially presented.
