The American Actor Puts Her Own Spin on the Classic Design Language of One of Her Favorite Brands
A.P.C. has announced its collaborative collection with American actor Katie Holmes. A major fan of the brand since the 90s, Holmes dove into the archive to co-design an interaction composed of a dozen feminine pieces and a line of refined accessories. “A.P.C. is a beautiful French brand and one that I have loved since I discovered it. The simplicity of design is born out of sophisticated consistency to details and form. A.P.C. is not only elegant in life, but I have also used it many times for costumes in film as its classic design is timeless”, she explains.
For this interaction, Katie Holmes immersed herself in the A.P.C. archives Rue Royale in Paris, where she selected garments that seemed particularly suited to her style.“ I love vintage and truly enjoyed stepping into the memories of A.P.C. garments of the past. Bringing the inspiration from collections from the early 2000’s and working to make them modern and relevant to the 2024 customer was such a joyful and satisfying experience”, says the actor of the research and design process.

Part of the collection, a subtle cross between French elegance and typical New York chic, is made up of re-edited pieces, such as the Katie babies, the Camille + Ambre twinset or the Louisa blouses. Others are reinterpreted, like the Juliette sandals in crocodile-print leather, the Grace bag in quilted leather with two-tone clasp, the Elisabeth jeans, or the stretch raw denim mini-skirt with white A.P.C. logo stitching and button. Katie Holmes also suggested a quilted coat with a slim build reminiscent of Jackie Kennedy’s style, as well as a vest suit that perfectly embodies her penchant for mixing genres.
A pastel-colored quilt, inspired by a model made by Katie Holmes’ mother, will also be available in one hundred numbered copies.
The collection is set to release on June 6th. Ahead of the drop, Holmes is captured wearing the collection in a set of campaign portraits shot by photographer Oliver Hadlee Pearch.
