Adeam Celebrates 10 Years at New York Fashion Week With an Intimate Upper East Side Dinner

Creative Director Hanako Maeda Hosts a Cozy Evening at Chez Fifi to Honor the Brand’s Journey of Storytelling, Style, and Cultural Duality

To mark a decade on the official New York Fashion Week calendar, Adeam hosted a private dinner on Monday, September 8th, gathering longtime collaborators and close friends for an elegant evening at Chez Fifi on the Upper East Side. Led by Creative Director Hanako Maeda, the dinner celebrated the brand’s growth, its creative relationships, and the cultural crosscurrents that have defined Adeam since its debut.

Held in the cozy salon of a converted townhouse, the event reflected Adeam’s signature balance of refinement and intimacy. Guests mingled over cocktails before enjoying a multi-course meal designed by Executive Chef Zack Zeidman, all in a space that embodied the brand’s commitment to thoughtful design and personal storytelling.

“When we first showed Adeam at New York Fashion Week in Fall 2014, I could never have imagined the journey that lay ahead,” said Maeda. “Celebrating ten years on the official calendar is not just a professional milestone—it’s deeply personal. I grew up in New York City, and this city has shaped the way I see the world, the way I design. It means everything to share collections that weave together my Japanese heritage and my love for New York. This dinner was my way of saying thank you to everyone who’s been part of that story.”

The guest list echoed Adeam’s creative journey. Hari Nef, who fronted the debut Adeam ICHI campaign in 2021, was joined by actress Madeline Brewer, a front-row mainstay and longtime supporter. Model Yuka Mannami, a recurring runway muse, and Amanda Murphy—who helped launch the brand’s 2022 collaboration with Carolyn Murphy—were also in attendance. Photographer Sophie Elgort, for whom Maeda designed a custom wedding dress featured in Vogue, added a personal note to the evening’s nostalgia and warmth.

Beauty was also part of the story: Sada Ito, Global Artistry Director of NARS Japan, crafted Mannami’s makeup look for the dinner, continuing a relationship that has spanned over eight years of Adeam runway shows. Guests left with NARS gift sets wrapped in gingham pouches made from a signature Spring/Summer 2026 fabric—a tactile nod to both the collection and the enduring partnership between the two brands.

The dinner served as an unofficial preview of Adeam’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, which debuts later this week. Promising a mix of romance and edge, the upcoming lineup reflects the duality at the heart of Adeam—an evolving portrait of modern femininity shaped by softness and strength.

Attendees included Hanako Maeda, Madeline Brewer, Jack Thompson-Roylance, Hari Nef, Amanda Murphy, Yuka Mannami, Sophie Elgort, Sada Ito of NARS, Christie Tyler, Natalie Lim Suarez, Mary Leest, and Laura Jung.
