Adidas Commits $10 million to Pharrell’s Black Ambition Program

With Adidas’ Financial Support, Pharrell Champions Black And Latinx Entrepreneurs Through His New Non-Profit, Black Ambition

Adidas has committed $10 million over the next three years to support Black Ambition, Pharrell’s new non-profit which aims to provide a pathway to success for Black and Latinx entrepreneurs.

Since its inception, the ongoing partnership between adidas and Pharrell Williams has always been rooted in projects with a meaningful purpose. Today, the brand extends this purpose-driven relationship by announcing its support for the launch of Black Ambition through a multiyear $10 million commitment.

Founded with the goal of providing a pathway to success for Black and Latinx entrepreneurs who are launching tech, design, healthcare, and consumer products and service start-ups, Black Ambition is dedicated to leveling the playing field and fostering ingenuity, determination, and resilience. Coinciding with the launch of the initiative is the announcement of two prize competitions — The Black Ambition HBCU Prize and The Black Ambition Prize — which culminate in one major national event. These two prize competitions provide access to millions of dollars in funding as well as access to mentorship, peer networks, and expert advice.

As part of its support for Black Ambition, adidas has committed $10 million over the next three years to supporting Black and Latinx entrepreneurs. Alongside the financial commitment, adidas is actively exploring the most meaningful ways to collectively amplify and drive the positive impact of The Black Ambition HBCU Prize and the Black Ambition Prize through employee engagement, mentorship, community networks, and more.

To celebrate the launch of this initiative, adidas and Pharell have come together to produce a short film directed by award-winning filmmaker A.V. Rockwell. The short is rooted in championing and recognizing black culture and the black community, while simultaneously looking forward to the future together.
