Review of Agent Provocateur Holiday 2024 Ad Campaign by Creative Director Sarah Shotton, Director Greg Williams, and Director of Photography Stephen J. Nelson with models Abbey Clancey, Peter Crouch, and Jaime Winstone
Agent Provocateur sends a reminder of the importance of romance this season with its Holiday 2024 campaign, directed by Stephen J. Nelson.
A kind of cautionary tale, the film stars the IRL married couple of model Abbey Clancey and former professional footballer Peter Crouch who, in addition to their own individual pursuits, co-host a podcast that takes a humorous look at relationships. The story sees Abbey’s texts of her new AP red lingerie set and invitations to her hotel room go unanswered as Peter plays pool at the pub with his mates, eventually prompting Abbey to take matters into her own hands and wreak poetic justice upon her clueless spouse.
The excellently produced video feels like one long, well-paced joke, which is something we sadly don’t see too much of these days when it comes to campaigns. It’s also an unexpected yet very effective casting choice, which, taken together with the unabashed sex appeal and themes of self-love and empowerment, forms another great extension of Agent Provocateur’s signature blend of sensuality and playful edge.
