Bringing Celebratory Prints and Colors to Signature Accessories
Alexander McQueen has launched a special Lunar New Year collection in celebration of the Year of the Dragon. The capsule applies vibrant colorways and special new prints to a selection of the house’s signature leather bags and accessories.
A special new dragon flower print is inspired by the antirrhinum flower – better known in English as the “snapdragon” – in vibrant red and pink. This enriches the leather interior of the Small Seal and Mini Seal bags in fuchsia pink quilted leather. In white on black leather, the dragon flower print brightens wallets, card holders, pouches, and other leather accessories.
The Small Peak and the Mini Jewelled Satchel are available in red leather, the traditional color of good fortune that defines the holiday.
Celebrating the launch and the spirit of the holiday, an accompanying animated video campaign follows a flurry of snapdragon petals as it travels joyously through the cities of Chengdu, Shanghai, and Beijing.
