Altuzarra undertakes an urban odyssey in its new campaign for Fall 2023. Lush, mystical, yet grounded, the campaign was realized by creative director Florentin Tuillier and photographer Dudi Hasson.

In designing his Fall 2023 collection, Joseph Altuzarra looked to the mythical and mystical to brew up a potent philtre of magical, powerful, and feminist optimism. Inspired by authors like Charlotte Higgins, Ursula K. Le Guin, and Madeline Miller who have revisited Greek myths from the perspective of their often overlooked woman characters, the collection steeps itself in a visual world of mythology and mysticism to create an intoxicating commemoration of feminine power.

The campaign imagery translates this world of mysticism and the earth’s feminine creative powers back into a context of modern urban life, finding new direction and vibrancy within its colors and draped forms. Hasson follows his subjects across cityscapes, gardens, and art-deco interiors, where their mythical miens take on a new forward energy – these women are grounded in everyday life, but possess the power to transform it.

A brief accompanying video clip finds model Amar Akway in a solarium, where, swaying to ambient music while dressed in one of the collection’s key looks, she provides a further window into the spirit of flowing, intoxicating power that characterizes the season.

Dazzlingly composed, the campaign is an inspiration to rediscover the mythical figure hidden within the modern muse.
