Ambush Connects the Metaverse to IRL with Recyclable 3D Printed Sneakers

Tokyo-based fashion brand Ambush announces “100S”, a concept multi-verse sneaker, ‘wearable’ in both the metaverse and real life. A symbol of sustainable technology, the innovative sneaker created in partnership with Zellerfeld uses recyclable materials and expands the possibilities of circular design. “100S” comes with an NFT counterpart, unlocking wearables of the same design in the Ambush SILVER FCTRY metaverse and beyond.

The metaverse-ready sneaker is a result of combined efforts from Ambush’s web3 ventures and Zellerfeld’s innovative 3D printing shoe technology. Ambush made its entrance into the web3 space earlier this year with the launch of its POW!® REBOOT NFT collection and SILVER FCTRY metaverse, while Zellerfeld’s groundbreaking technology produces made-to-order 3D printed sneakers with environmentally friendly, sweatshop-free production. Finn-Rush Taylor, who is known for his contributions in footwear design for many leading sneaker brands, was also a collaborator on the project, helping guide the concept and design of the 3D printed “100S”.

Ambush co-founders YOON and VERBAL have supported Zellerfeld since its inception and have since been eager to work with the tech company to explore the future of footwear. With this collaboration, their innovative concept redefines how we consume real-life and digital products. The NFTs will not only unlock wearables in the metaverse but also serve as a certificate of ownership to physical counterparts of the design.
