Ami Launches Its First U.S. Flagship Boutique In SoHo, Celebrating the Launch with a Collaborative Capsule with Artist Kevin Lyons
AMI unveils the opening of its first flagship retail store in the U.S. with its brand-new New York City storefront. The opening arrives as the Parisian brand celebrates its ten-year anniversary.
Located at 77 Greene Street in the heart of SoHo, the 2,000-square-feet space will offer an extensive range of products including menswear, womenswear, and accessories. Designed by founder and creative director Alexandre Matiuissi himself, the flagship features AMI’s recently revamped store concept: the interior design is characterized by the bold use of conceptual materials, generating a unique atmosphere: a wooden floor with two-toned panels repeated in a striking, geometric pattern; concrete walls; large mirrors; a metallic mesh ceiling fitted with long neon tubes.
To celebrate the opening, AMI has teamed up with New York artist Kevin Lyons for an exclusive collaboration. In a new limited-edition capsule, he revisits a selection of iconic basics from the AMI wardrobe, adorning them with three new illustrations featuring the Ami de Cœur and his signature monsters.
Kevin Lyons shares with AMI the values of love, friendship and inclusion. His art is rich, fun, inspirational and iconic and I appreciate the way Kevin combines the unique vibe of New York City with AMI’s spirit. Opening in Manhattan is a longtime dream and an incredible opportunity: this collaboration with Kevin is the best possible way to celebrate this milestone in AMI’s story.”

This is the second artistic drop focusing on the Ami de Coeur, a series in which a different artist proposes each time their interpretation of AMI’s heart-crowned trademark in special capsule collections.
When I think of New York, I think of corners where you and your friends hang, listen to music, watch the city go by… And this is also exactly what AMI is about. The monsters I draw wear all types of hats, and it’s because they’re from New York. AMI has always been the red hat. So red hats for everyone.”
